On February 21, Bluffton Beef 4-H Club hosted the West Zone Public Speaking at the Hoadley Hall. Four clubs competed in our zone. This includes the Winfield Beef club, The Gait Riders, and our club, Bluffton Beef.
After a long day of speeches and two tie breakers, the results were in! Even though everyone did great, only the top two advance to the District level. Order from 1st to 4th in the junior category; Nicole Groeneveld, Quinn Going-Rycroft, Ben Boyceand and Garren Skeels. In intermediates Cole Schwengler, Cheyenne Schwengler, Tim Trenson and Katie Hudson. In seniors; Sylvia Trautman, Ben Trenson, Miranda Wirch and Ashyln Frandsen.
We would like to send a huge thank you to Leah Trenson our master of ceremonies. We also appreciated Teri and Steven Boyce as our timer and teller. Lastly a huge thanks to our judges. Our junior judges were Sheryl Boyes, Gene Steeves and Shelly McFadden. Our intermediate judges were; Allison Howdle, Kevin Steeves and Ginny Grinde. Finally, Harold Kenny, Tim Edge and Leanne Leverick were our senior judges.
