Drop-In Doin’s

Fall is in full swing! Floor curling is still in need of some players for its Wednesday League. This is a great sport for our ‘old bones’, and very addictive. We have Sadies quilting courses starting soon in our bright, newly decorated basement. Her programs and designs are displayed at the Co-op Mall.

There’s always room for more.

Brownies, Sparks and Guides meet in our basement every Monday afternoon from 3:15 to 5 p.m. Their leaders and moms are our faithful helpers when we cater, which is a fair exchange I believe.

A lot of you found out last month how great a job our nurses from Red Deer do at our monthly get-togethers. This time we will serve coffee and snacks from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Come and learn how to keep yourself healthy and wise.

We will be serving coffee and juice at the Flu Clinic in the Community Hall on Oct. 28. We are also serving a light lunch at noon for the workers for a nominal fee. I will be asking for a lot of help that day.

As well, we will have a table at the Clinic to promote Drop-In doings. There will be tables in the foyer representing many health and wellness subjects. Be sure and take the time to stop, chat and pick up items of interest to you.

Start planning now for what you might make for the non-profit Bazaar – coming Nov. 29 here at the Drop-In.
