The first presentation of a new program aimed at seniors will kick off this week at Parkland Manor.
The program, Speakers 4 Seniors, co-sponsored by Rimbey Medical Clinic, Wolf Creek Primary Care Network, FCSS, Rimoka and Rimbey District Drop In Centrewill provide information on various senior related topics.
The first talk will be presented by a registered nurse and will focus on Understanding Advanced Care Planning.
The talk will run from 9:30 to 10 p.m. on June 14 at Parkland Manor and will be followed by refreshments and fellowship.
On July 12 a dietician from Alberta health Services will speak at the Provincial Building (FCSS) and on Aug. 9 a psychologist will speak at the Seniors Drop In on recognizing depression in seniors.
Speakers 4 Seniors sessions will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Parkland Manor, FCSS and the Seniors Drop In.
