Bamford receives four nominations

The success of Gord Bamford’s Day Job continues, as he has received four nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA).

Bamford was nominated in four award categories for 2011: Single of the Year (My Daughter’s Father), Songwriter(s) of the Year (Put Some Alcohol on It), and CMT Video of the Year (My Daughter’s Father). Bamford was again nominated in the Male Artist of the Year category.

The CCMA’s announced Bamford, his band and team have been named in a total of 12 CCMA categories.

The CCMA’s are in Hamilton, Ont., Sept. 9 to 12.

“2010 was a banner year for me and for Cache Entertainment. I’m always excited to be recognized by my peers and the CCMA organization for the continued hard work of my team. But more importantly, these nominations inspire me to continue creating the country music that I love to share with each and every Gord Bamford fan as well as all my friends at radio,” Bamford said.

Day Job is the fourth CD from the Alberta-based musician.

Bamford wrote 11 of the 13 songs on the album, and produced it with Nashville-based songwriter Byron Hill.
