One of the nine candidates running for municipal office says he no longer wishes to be involved in the election.
On Oct. 12, following a forum held Wed., Oct. 11, Chuck Hendricks dropped off a letter at the Rimbey Review office stating “I refuse to take credit when no credit is due. I refuse to lie. Therefore I will no longer be involved in the election.”
Hendricks said later that he would not attend meetings, even if he was elected.
However, CAO Lori Hillis said any candidate only has 24 hours to withdraw after the close of nomination day so Hendricks’ name will still appear on the voting ballots.
