Rimbey RCMP report a Rimbey resident charged with drug possession in 2014 will spend two years behind bars.

In October, 2014, Nathan Webb, a 28 year old Rimbey resident, was stopped for speeding. Drugs were found in his vehicle in a quantity consistent with trafficking. He was subsequently charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marihuana, and for speeding.

Webb was found guilty as charged and sentenced in December, 2015 to two years in custody.

Currently, there are three other people who have been charged by the Rimbey RCMP for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking in the past year, said Const. Carman Dutz.

“Their cases are before the courts. A lot of work goes into building a strong case against drug traffickers so that they are held responsible for their crimes. Information from the public is a key component in building a case. If you have information about drug activity, please be a part of the solution by sharing that information with the RCMP.”
