The Rimbey Ag Society has teamed up with the Rimbey Wagon, Sleigh and Saddle Club to make Feb. 4 a fun day for the entire family.

Following the cutter parade, which begins at noon, the Ag Society will host its first ever Rimbey Snow Dayz.

Planned events include ski joring, a fun and exhilarating sport which is involves strapping on skis and riding behind a horse.

Calf sled races will be held in the outdoor arena for lots of fun and laugh.

Participants are invited to warm up inside, listen to some live music, check out the petting zoo and watch a miniature horse demonstration put on by the Rimbey Wagon, Sleigh and Saddle Club.

A concession will be operated by the Rimbey 4-H Beef Club during the day.

Organizer Kelly Schwerdt said the event will help promote family fun.

“I have little kids and we spent a lot of time at the arena,” she said. Her daughters, Kayle, 10, Kaycee, seven and Kyler, four are horse crazy, she said.

Schwerdt would like to see groups work together to organize such events.

“The more things we can put on together the better.”
