Rimbey town council is ready to advertise for a new chief administrative officer.
Mayor Rick Pankiw said it is time to have a full time permanent CAO in place.
“We appreciate all the work Donna Tona has done for us, but moving forward we need to have someone on a permanent basis.
He said council is hoping to have a permanent CAO in place by the end of May. Advertisements will go out in municipal government documents as well as the local newspaper.
Tona was hired on a contract basis to work as interim CAO several months ago.
Lori Hillis is the acting CAO.
