STANYER
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Joy Stanyer of Rimbey, Alberta. She was born on August 9, 1959, and passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the age of 53 years. Colleen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 16 years, Stu; her son, Saddarta 'Sid' Stanyer; and her stepchildren: Samantha Craig, Dixie Craig, and Robyn Craig. She will also be lovingly remembered by two sisters, Melissa 'Mitzi' Heer of Stettler; and Deborah (Armand) Paquette of Whitecourt; her brother, Robert Stanyer of Ponoka; as well as her nephews, Daniel and Michael Paquette of Whitecourt; her niece, Dana Stanyer of Edmonton; her great niece, Kyilee Paquette, also of Whitecourt; in addition to being sorely missed by many friends and additional family members. Colleen was predeceased by her father, Joe in 1974; and her mother, Grace in 2008.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Colleen's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Rimbey on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Since Colleen was an avid listener to CKUA Radio, if friends desire, memorial tributes in Colleen's Memory may be made directly to the CKUA Radio Network, 10526 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 1Z7.
