Donald Lloyd


Don passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2012 at Breton Health Care Center, Breton Alberta where he resided for the past six years.

Don was born on April 24th, 1939 at Battle Lake, Alberta. He was the second son of (Loretta) Irene and (Leland) Lloyd Seely. He lost his father at an early age of four years. His mother later married John Moller and Don was raised in Rimbey, Alberta. It was there he married his wife, Leona Marlene Boyarzin in 1959. They had three children in Rimbey and then moved to Three Hills, Alberta in 1972 to pursue an oilfield business. It was here that their fourth child was born.

In his earlier years, Don loved hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was also a proud member of the Rimbey Volunteer Fire Department and the Three Hills Elks Club.

He is survived by his four children: Lloyd (Tracey) Seely, Jacqueline (Richard) Hofstra, Daniel Seely and Michael (Gap) Seely as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings, Tena (Keith) Bland, Norma Taylor, Ed (Sally) Moller, Dave (Maxine) Moller, Ray (Cindy) Moller and Betty Moller.

Don was predeceased by his wife, Leona; parents, Lloyd and Irene; stepfather, John; brother, Clayton; two step-sisters, Anne and Kay; and one nephew Kyle.

A private family memorial will be held on July 7th, 2012.
