EADIE

Earl Donald Eadie passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2017 at the age of 93. Earl was born in Roseburg, Oregon on March 9th, 1923, the youngest son of John and Tess Eadie. At the age of two, Earl moved with his family to the family farm northeast of Rimbey, where he resided until his passing. He attended Monte Vista School and completed grade 12 in the one room school house south of the farm. Earl farmed the family farmland sold real estate for many years. He and Mary enjoyed their year's together farming, gardening and travelling. They had many happy adventures camping when the children were young and travelling further afield in their later years to England, to Greece and many, many winters to Hawaii.

Earl will be remembered for his faith, wisdom, political insights and sense of humor.

Earl met the love of his life, Mary Pearman, at New Norway Convention. After many trips by Earl to Derwent, they were married in Edmonton on June 20th, 1947. They celebrated 69 wonderful years of marriage together. Earl is survived by Mary, their five children Beth (Bruce) their girls Kathy (Michael) and Kari-Lyn; John (Dana) their boys Justin ( Tanya), Jeffrey (Richelle), Jamie, and Michael (Rebeca); Susan (Brian) their children Brittany (Nicholas), Chelsea and Colby. Donald (Rolanda) their boys Jayce, Kaiden and Carter, and Angela (Lorne) and their children Landon, Rylan, and Aislan. He was also proud to be 'Old Papa" to eight great-grandchildren. Earl was predeceased by his parents, John and Tess Eadie, his brother James and his sister May Couchman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Peter Lougheed Community Centre in Rimbey, Alberta on Thursday February 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Interment followed in the West Haven Cemetery in Rimbey.
