Mrs. Hazel Varty of Rimbey, Alberta passed away in the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday July 9, 2007 at the age of 83 years.
Predeceased by her parents Carl & Gena Aske, one grandson Randy Carson, five sisters, four brothers, seven sister-in-laws, eight brother-in-laws, Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Jimmie, two daughters, two sons; Sharon (Gerry) Carson of Rocky Mtn. House, Faye (Walter) Jenson of Bluffton, Marvin (Carolyn) Varty of Rocky Mtn. House, Larry (Elaine) Varty of Rimbey, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one sister; Violet Belt of Rimbey and numerous relatives on the Varty side.
Funeral services were held from the Rimbey United Church on Wednesday July 11, 2007 at 2:30 PM with Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment of Hazel’s cremated remains will take place in the Bradshaw cemetery at a later date.
