Mr. John "Jack" Henry Authenac passed away on January 6, 2012 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta at the age of 72 years. He is survived by his seven children; Fenton (Val) Authenac of Grande Prairie, Fiona (Cory) Martel of Rimbey, Noel (Teddi-Lynn) Authenac of Stony Plain, Trent Authenac of Edmonton, Paul Authenac (Rebecca) of Grande Prairie, Kristen Authenac and Jonathan Authenac both of Bentley. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren; Michael, Katie, Joey, Noah, David and Jacob and Jade, siblings Genevieve (Vernon) Oake, Marguerite Bignell, Yvonne (Les) Burnstad-Knapp, Robert (Rose) Authenac and Carmen Authenac (Lawrence Campbell), the mother of his children, Carol Authenac as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Florence, brother William "Bill", first wife Doreen and her son Lonnie and brothers-in-law Bud Burnstad and Wayne Bignell. A Mass Of Christian Burial was held at the Christ-King Catholic Church in Stettler, Alberta on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Arlan Parenteau as celebrant. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Jack, memorial contributions may be made to the Alberta Children's Hospital or to a charity of your choice in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
