It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Wade Lawson on October 30, 2016 at the age of 71. John is survived by his beloved Linda Hennigar, his sons Richard (Jodi), Russell (Michele), Wade (Amanda), Linda's children Chris (Jodie), Connie (Jason), his fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters Myrtle, Velma, Ava, Nora and his brother Lyle. John was pre-deceased by his parents Max and Vera, brothers Mervin, Jim, Arthur and sister Mary-Mae.
John was born in Rimbey in 1945 and spent his years working in the oil and gas industry and trucking across Western Canada and into the United States. His outgoing personality left an impression throughout his travels and he made many friends along the way. John was able to spend his last few years enjoying his passion for rodeos and camping with Linda, whom he met in 2012. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
