BURTON
Lillian M. Burton of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the age of 92 years.
Lillian was born in Calgary on September 19, 1919. She was united in marriage to Jack Burton on November 17, 1937. Together they farmed for a number of years west of Lacombe in the Spruceville District until 1962. They later retired and moved to the Rimbey area where they happily resided for many years. Lillian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her loving family and her cherished friends.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her son, Harvey (Pat) Burton of Rimbey; her two daughters, Helen Riley of Rimbey; and Jacquie Burton (Dean Skaley) of Ponoka; as well as her daughter-in-law, Audrey (Lew) Sedgwick of Wetaskiwin. She will also be lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; in addition to many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Grace Jones; her beloved husband, Jack in 2003; her son, Ray in 2001; an infant daughter, Pauline in 1945; three brothers and two sisters.
A Family Graveside Service in Celebration of Lillian's Life was held at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating.
