LYSTER

It is with great sadness the Children of Margaret Lyster announces her passing at her home on January 25, 2014.

Margaret is survived by her son, Wade Carothers (Terri); daughters, Trixi Davidson (Darrell), Jamie Boyd (Greg) and Tory Schiffner; grandchildren Chris Davidson (Heather), Brad Davidson (Christene) Josh Carothers, Kendra Richardson (Jordan), Ty Robinson, Cody Carothers, Nicki Boyd, Jake Schiffner and Katrina Schiffner; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Gorko, June Szteina (Marion) and sister-in-law Kathy Dardis; numerous nieces and nephews; step-children Dale, Kathy, Karen, Susan and Linda (Lyster) and their families.

She was predeceased by her second husband Argyll Lyster; her parents, Jim and Tiny Wilkinson and her brother Jim Wilkinson.

Mom was born on June 20, 1932 at her family's home near Bragg Creek, AB. When she was 4 years old her mom passed away; she and her siblings went to live at the Father Lacombe Home in Midnapore, AB, and eventually with her Grandmother at Priddis, AB. Our parents were married in Calgary in 1955 and lived in DeWinton until buying the farm in the Lavesta Community near Rimbey in 1960, where we all grew up. In 1984 Mom married Argyll Lyster and moved to Donalda, AB. In 2010 Mom moved back to Rimbey to her new condo; where she resided until her passing.

Mom always loved horses and was able to live one of her biggest dreams by going to the Kentucky Derby. She also loved to travel and was able to go to England, Europe, the United States and of course to see sister Jamie in New Zealand.

We would like to thank our Cousin Dennis Andersen, and her friends Linda, Florence, Collette, and Margaret for their kindness and friendship, we know that it meant a lot to her.

Cremation has taken place and funeral service arrangements will be announced at a later date.

If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
