Nellie Karoline
Nellie passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Rimbey Care Centre at the age of 86 years. Born February 23, 1930, Nellie grew up in Southwestern, Saskatchewan, where in 1951 she was united in marriage to Alfred, who was the love of her life. They moved to the farm near Rimbey in 1955, and there they raised their family.
After Alfred's passing in 1990, Nellie remained on the farm until she was hospitalized several months ago. Nellie was also predeceased by her parents and her brother Eric.
Mourning Nellie's passing are her daughter, Deanna (Marty); sons, Gary (Evy), and Craig (Tracy); grandchildren, Jason, Jodie, Darlene, Evan, Jill and Amy; her great grandchildren, Renee, Justice, Jackson, Talon, Kade and Aliya; her sister, Millie, as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. She will be forever loved and remembered.
In keeping with Nellie's wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends and neighbors are invited to join the family at the Rimbey Drop-In Centre on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 1-4 pm to share refreshments and memories of Nellie.
For those who wish to do so, it would have pleased Nellie that donations in her memory be made to the Rimbey Hospital & Care Centre.
