1938 - 2014
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mr. Ralph Donald Winegardner Sr. of Winfield, Alberta at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday,December 4, 2014 at the age of 75 years. Ralph was born in Delmer, Ont. to William and Florence Winegardner. Ralph was one of 11 children. At a young age he set off to Alberta to find work, where he also found love. In 1960, Linda and Ralph moved to Tillsonbury, Ont. and were married in the spring of 1961. After the birth of their first son, they moved back west and settled on the farm west of Winfield, where they continued to reside. Ralph had many passions: he loved being outside, working on the farm and to go fishing, no matter what season. Ralph always loved a good mystery book or movie. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda, and their children: Richard, Ralph Jr., Debi, Teresa, Roger, and Patti; grandchildren Ann, Chris, and Deanna. He is also survived by siblings Arthur, Howard, LeRoy, Lloyd, Beverley, and Marlene. Ralph was predeceased by his parents William and Florence and siblings Clarence, Bertha, Muriel, and Bernice. A memorial service for Ralph was held in Breton, Alta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Red Deer Legion Br. #35, 2810 - Bremner Ave., Red Deer, AB T4R 1M9.
