PETERSON
Viola "Vi" F. Peterson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre - Area Two on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the age of 83 years.
Viola was born on May 7, 1932 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She attended the Pleasant High School with her sister, Mary. Viola met and was later united in marriage to Sam Peterson in Calgary in 1963. Viola and Sam moved to the Rimbey area in the early 1970's, and into the town of Rimbey in 1991. She greatly enjoyed gardening, in addition to her intricate hobby of petit point embroidery.
Viola will be lovingly remembered by a host of very good friends and family members; especially close friends, Patti and James Penner of Rimbey. She was predeceased by her parents, Tina and Ken Moore; her beloved husband, Sam in 2012; and well as her sister, Mary Finnie in 2012.
With respect for Viola's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment will take place in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey at a later date.
