I was truly touched when reading the story of the plight of the family from Bluffton published in the Dec. 2 edition of the Rimbey Review.
It wasn’t difficult to decide I wanted to help this family and then I wondered if our customers here at Parkland Beach Store in Gull Lake may want to help.
I have started a collection for the family in need and am confident our community and customers will give what they can.
The store is open Wednesday to Friday from noon to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and donations will be accepted during those times.
Donations including a $25 gift card, clothing and food have already been received.
I am hoping to raise at least $300 dollars’ worth in total as I’m late starting this fundraiser for this very deserving family.
