Bentley Panthers handball players Kolton Hueppelsheuser, Wyatt Fleming, Kai Poffenroth and Brian Castro guard against players from Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy Avalanche in a provincial handball game. The Panthers lost to the Avalanche by one point and went on to compete in the consolation playoffs, losing to Clearwater Academy 26 to 27.
Bentley girls won the consolation finals 23 to 19 against Old Scona. The girls’ gold medal winner in the provincials was Blessed Sacrament who defeated Clearwater Academy 17 -9 and the boys’ gold medal winner was Old Scona who defeated Mayerthorpe 18 – 15.
The tournament was held at H. J. Cody and Fox Run Schools in Sylvan Lake April 26 and 27.
