4-H club members recognized with awards during show and sale

Winfield, Rimbey and Bluffton 4-H Clubs reaped the rewards of their hard work all year at an Interclub show and sale.

Winfield, Rimbey and Bluffton 4-H Clubs reaped the rewards of their hard work all year at an Interclub show and sale held May 13 and 14 in Rimbey.

Following is the results of the show for the individual clubs:

Rimbey:

The club champion steer was won by Kyle Valstar and the reserve champion steer award went to Leanne Buist. Senior showmanship was won by Cassiday Valstar and Megan Valstar took second.

Erica Trenson won the senior grooming competition and Cassidy Valstar took second.

The junior showmanship award went to Kyle Valstar and Melissa Waldron won second.

In the junior grooming category Kyle Valstar won first and Jordyn Valstar won second. The club champion heifer prize went to Evan Buist.

The reserve club champion heifer award went to Leanne Buist.

Erica Trenson won the club champion cow calf and Leanne Buist won the reserve club champion cow calf.

The heifer senior grooming went to Leanne Buist and Amy Trenson won second. Amy Trenson won the heifer senior showmanship and Leanne Buist took second. Gary Waldron won the heifer junior groom award and Evan Buist took second.

The heifer junior showmanship award went to Melissa Waldron and Gary Waldron took second.

Winfield:

The club champion steer award went to Chad Schenk and the reserve champion steer award went to Amy Seely.

The senior showmanship prize went to Jacob Parker and second place was awarded to Chad Schenk.

Jacob Parker won the senior grooming prize and Chad Schenk took second.

Amy Seely won the junior showmanship prize and Kelsey Biever took second.

The junior grooming award went to Amy Seely and Brandon Leeder won second.

The club champion heifer award was won by Miranda Wirch.

Jacob Parker won the overall club female showmanship award.

Bluffton:

The club champion steer prize was won by Hanna Falt and the reserve champion steer prize went to Mackenzie Skeels.

Michelle Von Gunten won the senior showmanship award and Clinton Steeves took second.

The senior grooming award went to Michelle Von Gunten and Sylvia Von Gunten won second.

The junior showmanship prize went to Erin Burrage and second was won by Sylvia Trautman.

The junior grooming award was won by Josie Burrage and second place went to Tina Von Gunten.

Senior heifer showmanship was won by Chris Von Gunten and second went to Sylvia Von Gunten. The senior heifer grooming award went to Chris Von Gunten and second place was awarded to Sylvan Von Gunten.

The junior heifer showmanship prize went to Tina Von Gunten and Mackenzie Skeels won the second place award.

The junior heifer grooming went to Mackenzie Skeels and second place was won by Erin Burrage.

Mark Matjejka was the confirmation judge and Dalton Parker was the ringman. Erin Steeves was the announcer and the ribbon presenter was Jill Tennant. Clerks were Teri Ormberg and Rose Grutterink.
