4-H clubs hold achievement day

The Bluffton 4-H Club outdid themselves at the Rimbey Interclub Achievement Day held May 15 and 16, winning ribbons in several categories.

The interclub and club champion, and the club junior grooming award for a heifer was won by Hanna Falt from the Bluffton Club, and the interclub reserve champion heifer award went to Annie Christiansen, also from that club.

Mackenzie Skeels from the Bluffton club had the club champion steer and Josie Burrage from Bluffton had the club reserve champion steer.

The Bluffton club champion heifer was shown by Josie Burrage. Mackenzie Skeels won the club champion cow/calf ribbon with her two-year-old and Michelle VonGunten won the club reserve champion cow/calf ribbon with her two-year-old.

Michelle VonGunten won the senior showmanship award and Jenna Smawley took second.

The senior groom awards (steer) went to Mackenzie Skeels and Erin Burrage won second.

In the junior grooming (steer) category Brendan Tennant took first and Josie Burrage took second.

Michelle VonGunten took first in senior showmanship (heifer) category and Sylvia VonGunten took second in that category.

In junior showmanship (heifer) Josie Burrage took first and Mackenzie Skeels took second.

The Bluffton 4-H Club showed 28 steers, 15 heifers, five two-year-old calf pairs and three three-year old cow/calf pairs.

Rimbey 4-H Club

Seventeen steers and nine heifers were shown by Rimbey 4-H Club members.

Eric Trenson won the club champion steer category and Amy Trenson won the club reserve champion steer ribbon.

Caitlin Buist won the club champion heifer ribbon and Nicole Waldron won the club reserve champion heifer category.

Colton Godlonton won the senior showmanship (steer) category and Erica Trenson took second.

The senior grooming (steer) category was won by Colton Godlonton and Erica Trenson was second.

The junior showmanship (steer) category was won y Amy Trenson and second place went to Todd Trenson.

Junior grooming (steer) went to Megan Valstar and Jordyn Valstar.

Senior showmanship (heifer) went to Sharla Buist and Nicole Waldron.

Senior grooming (heifer) was won by Sharla Buist and Nicole Waldron.

Junior showmanship (heifer) went to Caitlin Buist and Amy Trenson.

Junior grooming (heifer) was won by Amy Trenson and John Koenig.

Winfield Club

Eight steers, one heifer and one three-year-old cow/calf were shown from the Winfield Club.

The club champion steer award went to Jacob Parker, James Seely won the club reserve champion steer category and Chad Schenk won the club champion heifer ribbon.

The club champion cow/calf award went to Gerald Schenk.

Misty-Anne Larsson won the senior showmanship ribbon and Chad Schenk was second.

The junior showmanship award went to Jacob Parker and Amy Delorme was second.

The junior grooming award went to Jacob Parker and Miranda Wirch was second.

Interclub events

The junior team grooming title went to Erin Burrage and Tina VonGunten. Second place went to Ben Trenson and Brendan Tennant.

The senior team grooming award went to Jill Tennant and Michelle VonGunten. Second place went to Josie Burrage and Jenna Smawley.

The interclub champion heifer was won by Hanna Falt. The interclub reserve champion heifer was won by Annie Christiansen. The interclub senior showmanship winner was Michelle VonGunten. Sylvia VonGunten took second.

Brittany Tennant won the interclub senior grooming, and Chad Schenk was second.
