Activities for Rimbey 4-H Club

As things wrap up this year our club has been very busy.

As things wrap up this year our club has been very busy.

I have missed doing my report but here it is on our activities the last few months. On March 23 we had a farm tour and visited all the 4-H steers and had some tips on how to judge these calves. I would like to thank Danny Skeels for help us judge our calves.

On April 18 we had a meeting at the community centre. On April 24 our carcass steers were taken to Skeels’ farm to bring to the butcher we judged our carcass living and then they went to the butcher. Then on April 29 we had a mini show at the agriplex . We also had Andrew Reedler come out and demonstrate on how to clip our calves.

On May 5 you might have seen us out doing highway cleanup. May 12 to 14 was a big 4-H weekend when we had our interclub show and sale on Sunday we competed against our cub. Our grand champion was Kyle Valstar and our reserve was Leanne Buist.

As things started winding down we had to find plaque sponsor for the final year. Thank you to all the sponsors we greatly appreciate it .

On June 15 we had our banquet and I would like to thank all the sponsors and donators for the banquet. At the banquet our awards were handed out and it was a good time. Our club had a good year and hope we have more people join our club next year.
