The last few months have been full of fun and learning for the Bluffton West 4-H Club.

Some of the latest events include: Tobogganing at the VonGuntens’ hill, District Fun Day at the 4-H Centre, the Bull Congress in Camrose, a seniors’ tea and bingo at the Rimbey Manor and public speaking.

The placements in public speaking for juniors were: first, Annie Christianson, second – Lacy Burrage, third, Tim Trenson and fourth – John Vandenhoven; intermediates: first - Ben Trenson, second - Sylvia Trautman, third - Hanna Fault and fourth - Carter Eadie; and for the seniors: first - Clinton Steeves, second - Heidi Trenson, third - Sylvia VonGunten and fourth - Kaiden Eadie. This year in public speaking we had the choice of doing a prepared speech or a presentation. Leah Trenson placed first in the presentation category.

Our club recently went skiing and we also helped to set up for the Women’s Conference plus setting up and helping out at the Cirque de Rimbey. Our next event will be the Farm Tours where we share our PowerPoints of our projects and farm.

We are all getting our steers ready for the upcoming sale in May.
