Winfield Gait Riders 4-H club report news

The past few months have been super busy getting ready for show season.

The past few months have been super busy getting ready for show season. We had our level testing in April for anyone wanting to test up to their next level. Congratulations to all the members who tested and moved on. Great job girls. We also had Doctor Pat from Burrage Vet Clinic come out for a vaccination demonstration of how to give a vaccination and why it is a good thing to do. A huge thank you to Pat for this it was very informative.

May has been a very busy month riding, organizing stall decorations, clipping, brushing, practicing trail obstacles and showmanship moves. At this time I would like to extend a huge thank you to our amazing instructors that have shared their expertise throughout the 4-H year. Thank you Kathy Judson, Terri Larsgaard for our long rides (western) and to Lauren Franklin (English).

On May 10 some of our members attended the Leslieville Trail Trotters pre-regional horse show at Rocky Mountain House rodeo grounds. Congratulations to all the members who went, we all did very well and learned from the show. Thank you to the Leslieville Trail Trotters for putting on the show and the judges for enduring a very miserable weather day. We had a great time. Good luck to everyone at the Regional Show in Red Deer also.

The West Central 4-H Regional Horse Show is May 30 to June 1 this year. It is held at the Westerner Park in Red Deer. The Westerner has been a huge supporter of this show for the past 31 years. So our Club would like to express our gratitude, and a huge thank you towards the Westerner Park for their continued support.
