It feels good to be back

Hi everyone! I'm back and ready to write. It's been a whirlwind six months of maternity leave, the busiest one yet to be honest. I don't even know what day it is half the time!

Our little guy Orrin was born Jan. 1, a great way to bring in the New Year! He's our hardest baby yet, but boy is he a cute little guy, or shall I say big guy. He's our biggest and tallest boy out of the three. Unfortunately for me, he's also our worst sleeper. Here I was thinking he'd be our best sleeper, as he was a pretty quiet mover in utero. Jokes on me!

Our family is now complete with these three boys that's for sure. It's been such a busy season of life and a real juggling act to say the least. Between school, sports and baby snuggles, the days are quite busy.

I still haven't quite adjusted to life with three boys yet, as my nights are still pretty rough with little sleep, but I've been so lucky to have my husband home, as he decided to take Paternity Leave with this last one.

It's been a huge help and I'm not sure how I could do this without him! Many people say it gets easier the more kids you have, but I strongly disagree. Yes, you get used to the diaper changes and what to do for colds, etc., but that lack of sleep never gets easier. I'd say it gets harder, as you need to conserve that energy for your older two kids. We've now got three under five years old, our oldest boy being four and a half. With all that said, it's been so much fun watching the dynamics change. I just love watching them play. The older two have really adapted well to Orrin, always going up to see their baby brother.

On another note, does anyone else feel like it's a cold start to the summer? We get outside as much as we can, but this wind could maybe die down a bit and temperatures could rise a little more. The rain has been great for the garden, although I don't have any veggies on those vines yet. On the flip side, hopefully no wildfires this summer. We can always do without that awful smoke.

Well, that's all for now! I'm so happy to be back writing again, so bear with me as I might be a little rusty. Lots of coffee will be had.
