4-H Gait Riders Report

By club reporter Meagan Mcfadden

On Feb. 7, we had our 4-H public speaking at the Poplar Valley Church.

For the seniors, in first place was Jane Maciborski with Chex your Lines, second place was Geneva Rodin’s In the Long Run, and in third place was Natalie Appleman with Skijoring.

For the intermediate members, first place went to Mikayla Maciborski with Dancing with Horses, second place was Kaitlyn Taks with How Much is that Doggy in the Window, and in third place Andrea Taks with Truth or Dare to Believe.

And finally for the juniors, first place went to Kelsey Beiver’s A Horse’s Holiday, and second place was Meagan Mcfadden with The Perfect Partner.

We would like to thank all of our judges, the timer, the teller and master of ceremonies Matthew Paton. We would also like to acknowledge AltaLink for sponsoring our communication event. Our members advanced to zones Feb. 21 at the Hoadley Hall.

The following weekend we have some members going to junior winter camp at the 4-H Centre at Battle Lake.
