The Beatty House has been a staple in Rimbey’s community for years. On Oct. 2 it received the recognition it deserves. The Beatty House has been designated as a provincial historic resource.

The Beatty House was built in the mid-1920s and is a perfect example of a post-first world war residence in both its semi-bungalow design and arts and crafts style.

“The Beatty House Society is delighted to have provincial recognition as a historic resource,” said Florence Stemo.

Mayor Dale Barr, MLA Ray Prins, Ronald Kelland of the historic Resources Management Branch, and Tom Clark from the Alberta Historical Foundation were all in attendance to designate the Beatty House.
