Swimming lessons offered through the Bentley School are well underway again this year. The grades 4, 5, and 6 just finished their series of six hour-long lessons on Jan. 11.
Grades 2 and 3 will have their lessons toward the end of February. Grade 1 students swim in early March and kindergarten students will swim the end of February and early in March. Each grade level has its own separate time in the pool.
Students from grades kindergarten to 6 are bused to and from the Lacombe Kinsmen Aquatic Centre for their lessons during the regular school day. Staff and lifeguards from the swimming pool oversee and run the sessions.
This is the second year swimming has been part of the Bentley elementary school curriculum.
