Bluffton 4-H yearly update

Bluffton 4-H, 2021.

Early 2021 was a bit boring for our club because we didn’t get to do any activities or even see each other because everything was online.

We usually do community service activities and monthly meetings as well as the mini show and none of that happened except the monthly meetings but they were all over zoom.

In the spring we were able to have highway clean up. We usually hold the show and sale every year with the Rimbey and Winfield clubs at the Rimbey Agrim but because of covid rules, we just had a show with our own club outside and the weather was even good for it. It was a lot of fun. Market steers were all sold online. When covid rules started changing, our club met in the summer to have our awards banquet which was fun.

The new club year started on Oct. 1 and we are able to meet in person again. We are off to a great start and already had a judging clinic and a grooming clinic. We decorated a house at Pask a Poo Park. We ended the year with a public speaking and record bookkeeping clinic. We hope that in 2022 we can keep doing our activities and have a ‘normal’ show and sale. Happy new year to everyone and hope we get to see you at our show and sale.
