Charges laid against second female in homicide

In a follow-up to a story that appears on the front page of today’s Rimbey Review, RCMP investigators have now laid three charges against a second female involved in a homicide which resulted in the remains being located in a van on an oil lease road west of Highway #22 near Rimbey, Alberta.

In a follow-up to a story that appears on the front page of today’s Rimbey Review, RCMP investigators have now laid three charges against a second female involved in a homicide which resulted in the remains being located in a van on an oil lease road west of Highway #22 near Rimbey, Alberta. The person charged is Carlea Wetheral, age 38 of no fixed address.

She is charged with, Murder (Section 235 CC), Indignity to a Human Body (Sec 182 CC) and Arson to a Motor Vehicle (Sec 434 CC).

She has been remanded in custody by a Justice of the Peace, to appear in Red Deer

Provincial Court on April 21.

As the next of kin notification has now been completed the name of the victim can be released. He is Hugh Frank Oswald, age 57 of no fixed address.

The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have information about any of the charged person or their activities is asked to call the RCMP Detachment at Rimbey, Alberta.
