Last Thursday proved to be a record-breaking day for the Rimbey Food Bank as the junior students, senior students and members of the faculty of the Rimbey Jr./Sr. High School rose to the Food Bank Challenge. Divided into the three groups, the objective was to stock the shelves in anticipation of the Christmas rush, and that’s exactly what happened when 485.5 lbs. of food was delivered to the bank, breaking last year’s amount of 308 lbs. As for the final standings, the seniors placed first followed by the teachers and the juniors. The food bank also announced that 19 local businesses have requested drop-off boxes for individual donations, also a new record.
