Rimbey residents still have a few days left to stake a claim at the town’s community garden.
“We have about 10 spots left,” said recreation director Rick Kreklewich. “People can apply through the rec office if they’re interested.”
The 40 by 100 foot garden gives the public a chance to have their own 20 by 20 foot garden and grow vegetables of their choice.
Kreklewich said there has been a community garden for several years, but this is the first year the town has taken over the maintenance and administration of it.
The garden plot has been tilled and fertilized, he added.
