Rimbey Lions Club begins a new year with new president Alice Steele at the helm as president.

Steele took over from Michelle Oberhammer, who served in the position for two years.

The Lions, who have been active in Rimbey for 65 years, held their wind-up party June 25 that was well attended by past presidents, Lions members, volunteers and invited guests.

The Lions had a busy summer with booths at the Rimbey Rodeo, shoot-out and Gull Lake Golf Course events. The club also had a booth at the Olson Auction and a raceway event in August.

The club held a successful blood donor clinic and took part in the demolition derby in September.
