The number of impressive milestone birthdays in the Rimbey area continued on Nov. 3 when resident Marjory Schmidt celebrated her 101st with friends and family by her side.
“It feels wonderful to still be here. I’ve had a long, full life,” the birthday girl said. “I had supper with my daughters and on Sunday (Nov. 1) we had a party with everyone there including my grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.”
As well, the staff and residents of the Parkland Manor also threw a party for Schmidt, complete with a birthday cake.
“I’ve had a good, long life, so I’m very thankful for that,” Schmidt said.
