Local winner in draw

The Bentley School Chest “Dozen Destinations Lottery” early bird draw was made recently in the Bentley Elementary School staff room.

From among about 175 eligible tickets the winning ticket drawn was that of a local lady, Jennifer Goddu, who won $300, making her $125 ticket a bargain already. Her ticket was replaced in the draw to be eligible for subsequent draws.

Chosen to make the draw was Bentley Grade 4 student Daphne Boettger.

On hand supervising the draw were Tina Whitfield, Becky Peterson, and Angel Hand from the School Chest Society.

For a whole year monthly draws for a trip and a second-place cash prize will be made the third Wednesday of each month. Draws start March 16, so there is still time to purchase tickets.

Tickets will be for sale until sold out or March 1 and are available from the school, the Bentley Town Office, Tina’s Junk Trunk, by mail, or from School Chest Society members.

Only 450 tickets were printed.

Proceeds support Bentley school programs.
