The Rimbey & Area Love My Garden Tour had another successful year, bringing gardeners and garden-admirers together.

The tour took place on Saturday, July 23, featuring six home-grown gardens in the Rimbey area. Those taking part in the tour could drive to each location and spend time wandering around, enjoying the sights and smells.

“For the third summer, the Rimbey & Area Love My Garden Tour was a great success for several reasons,” said Lorraine Morris, founder of the event.

“We had visitor attendance from all over central Alberta and repeat visitors from previous years who now consider the tour an annual event in their summer calendars.”

Morris said this year’s attendance was impressive, with 65 attendees.

“That surpassed last year’s two-day event and was comparable to the interest in our first year,” Morris explained.

“There is no doubt this event will continue over the years because of the strong interest. When you can feature gardens as we have had, with over 100 varieties of hostas and lilies, and even a garden that will be implementing a garden-scale train town, people love it.”
