Poster contest winner

Artistic talent has landed a local young lady with second place in the recent province-wide Crime Watch Poster Contest. Brianna Buist of Rimbey placed second out of 600 entries in the contest. Crime Watch Associations from across Alberta annually sponsor the contest through schools for the purpose of crime prevention.

Artistic talent has landed a local young lady with second place in the recent province-wide Crime Watch Poster Contest. Brianna Buist of Rimbey placed second out of 600 entries in the contest. Crime Watch Associations from across Alberta annually sponsor the contest through schools for the purpose of crime prevention. The contest includes 12 categories and is open to students from Grades 1 to 12. The Alberta Beef Producers provided prize money for the first, second and third place posters. The selected posters from this year’s contest will also be included in a calendar for 2009.
