Rimbey 4-H MultiClub report

The Rimbey 4-H Club has had a lot of activities going on in the past few months.

The Rimbey 4-H Club has had a lot of activities going on in the past few months. In January we had a meeting to discuss how our projects are coming along and our plans for the next few months.

In February, our regular meeting was held and our public speaking took place at the Catholic Church. It was nerve-racking but fun and our club did well.

Thanks to the judges that came out to judge, among them were Kathy Pfau, Doreen Glanfield, Teresa Giesbrecht, Sylvia Walters, Rose Anderson and Wayne Kris. Also thanks to timer/tellers Moira Gates and Michawn Giesbrecht. The members that went on to Zones did well too.

Our club had a fun time in March at the Rimbey Hospital with the seniors to play bingo. After, we had a meeting and discussed our next events including our Beef Mini Show on April 26.

In March the Beef Club did a farm tour to everyone’s farms to see how their calves are doing. They all look great and everyone’s getting ready four our big show and sale weekend of May 10 to 12. Please plan to attend and support us hard-working 4-Hers.

Also, look for our club to be doing highway cleanups on May 3. Please drive carefully on our highways that day, as all Alberta 4-Hers will be out on area roads cleaning up after the litterbugs.

Our club will be selling hanging basket certificates and the baskets will be available to be picked up at Holly’s Greenhouse. Ask someone in 4-H you know about the baskets and you can support us and also get a beautiful plant for your yard because summer’s coming.
