A deserving cowboy will be the recipient of the Barry Edge Memorial at the annual Rimbey Rodeo banquet and cabaret which is just around the corner.

Last year tie down roper J.B. Davidson was the winner of the $500 memorial. Davidson, who lives in Rimbey, attended Vermilion College.

As in the past, the banquet and cabaret promises to be filled with lively entertainment, delicious food, socializing and a chance to participate in a silent auction.

The banquet and cabaret is to be held Sat., Nov. 2 at the Rimbey Drop In Centre. Cocktails are at 6 p.m. and supper will follow at 7 p.m.

A meeting will follow the supper as well as the presentation of the Barry Edge Memorial.

“We are always looking for new board members to participate and make our rodeo the best it can be,” said Hazel Street from the rodeo committee. “Please come out and give us a hand. Volunteers are very much needed.”
