Students receive awards

Several students at West Country Outreach School were the recipients of awards which were received during the evening

Natalie Peck gave the toast to the parents and received the math award during the ceremonies.

Several students at West Country Outreach School were the recipients of awards which were received during the evening of the school’s graduation held May 30.

A math award donated by Meyers Norris Penny was awarded to Natalie Peck who also won the English 30-1 award donated by the Kinsmen Club of Rimbey/Winfield Lions Club.

Ashley Hoffart won the work experience award donated by Last West Hall, and Jeffrey Matson won the senior high science award donated by Rimbey Medical Clinic.

Matson also won the Best Effort Senior High Award donated by Whitgan Creations and Rimbey Eye Care and Social Studies 30-1 donated by Lazer Energy/Action Auto body.

The Outdoor Conservation Award donated by Rimbey Fish & Game went to Aylish Anglin. Anglin also won the Senior High Citizenship Award donated by Burrage Veterinary Services and the Parent Council Award donated by Rimbey T.V. and parent council.

Shae Bast won the Social Studies 30-2 award donated by Dev Len Contracting and Rimbey Foods.

Taylor Snell won the Lois Holmes Memorial Award donated by Eckrim and was recognized as Ambassador of the School. This award was donated by Rimbey Co-op and Leedale Ladies Club.

Jessica Russell won the English 30-2 award donated by Hellbound/JT Glass/Sidestreet Liquor Store and Dalin Olson won the Post-Secondary Trades Award donated by Michaels Studio.

Jackie Shippy won the Junior High Citizenship Award donated by Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion.

The Humanitarian Award donated by the Town of Rimbey went to Andrew Moorman.

The Purpose and Perseverance Award donated by Rimbey Value Drug Mart went to Kohlbi Alexandre.

Katrina Shipp was the Junior High Student of the Year and Julia Hilliker was the Senior High Student of the Year. The junior high award was donated by Healthy Herds and Rimbey Eye Care and the senior high award was donated by Sekura Livestock and Rimbey Eye Care.
