Several scholarships and awards were handed out to Rimbey Junior/Senior High School students Sept. 22, following the graduation commencement exercises.

The Governor General’s Academic Medal was presented to Branden Cave by principal Tim Lekas. Cave also received the Valedictorian Award, the Social Studies 30-1 Award and the Physics 30 Award.

The All Round Student was Erin Holman.

The Student of Merit Award was presented to Coleman Garnick.

Lynnette Allemand received the Lindberg Higher Education Award.

Michelle VonGunten won the Female Athletic Extracurricular Award and the Students’ Association Award.

Josh Bouwsema won the Greatest Improvement Award.

Reid Swier won the Eva Tona Bandoni Estate Award.

The ATA Education Award, sponsored by Wolf Creek Teachers Local No. 3, went to Josh Bouwsema and Brianne Staples.

Danielle Olsen won the Computer Processing 30 Award.

The Mathematics 30 Pure Award went to Natasha Bartsch.

Dixon Tory won the Mathematics 30 Applied Award.

Branden Cave, Reid Swier and Natasha Bartsch won the Mathematics 31 Award.

The English 30-1 Award went to Branden Cave and Erin Holman.

Kelsey Coleman won the English 30–2 – Fred Hull Memorial Award.

The Social Studies 30–2 Award went to Skye Hale and James Yarbrough.

The Chemistry 30 Gordon Rude Memorial Award went to Lynnette Allemand.

Emily Albach won the Art 30 Award.

Brianne Staples won the French 30 Award.

Reid Swier won the Physical Education 30 Boys Award.

The Physical Education 30 Girls Award went to Natasha Bartsch and Jill Tennant.

Dixon Tory won the Drama 30 Award.

Harley Balan won the Food Studies 30 Award.

Michelle VonGunten, Brianne Staples and Reid Swier won the Work Experience 35 Award.

Josh Bouwsema won the Male Athletic Extracurricular Award.

The Grade 9 Award for the top overall student was presented to Samantha Booth.

The Grade 10 Award was presented to Jessica Lohmann.

The Grade 11 Award was presented to Erica Trenson.

The CTS Merit Contractors Association Award was presented to Tyler Strain and Mackenzie Stout.

The Lions Legacy Scholarship Award was won by Reid Swier.

The John Dale Parry CA Memorial Scholarship was presented to Lynnette Allemand.

The S. Grumbach Memorial Scholarship went to Chad Lifton.

The Jenny Noble Memorial Award was presented to Michelle VonGunten. She also received the agricultural scholarship.

Breanne Staples won the Rimbey Co-op Scholarship.

Erin Holman won the CHEERS (Casey Howard Effort and Enthusiasm Recognition Scholarship).

The Leedale Ladies Dale Ewanchuk Memorial Award went to Rae-Ann McDonagh.

The Chris and Betty Harvey Memorial Scholarship was won by Brianne Staples.

The Biology 30 Award was presented to Lynnette Allemand.

The Will Hoar Math/Science Award to Branden Cave and Lynnette Allemand.

Harley Balan and Danielle Knight won the Wolf Creek Award.

The Wolf Creek CTS Award was won by Jacob Gault.

Lynnette Allemand won the Bentley Seed Cleaning Plant Scholarship. She also won the volunteerism award sponsored.

The Skeels Family Agriculture Award went to Michelle VonGunten.

The Dale Ewanchuk Memorial Award was presented to Tyler Strain.
