Most people walk their dog but Doug Littau, 62, of Rimbey, is different — he walks his three-month-old bison “Baby” round the streets of Rimbey almost every night.
People are used to seeing him and stop to pet Baby. Baby’s mother would have nothing to do with her so Littau, who works on a ranch, took Baby under his wing. Littau lives in Rimbey but as soon as Baby gets bigger she will be moved to a pasture.
Littau would like to train Baby, and at this stage she is doing a good job of learning.
Littau’s wife Elaine just loves Baby and comes home from work at lunchtime to feed her. Baby gets four feedings a day.
