On September 7 nearly 150 people gathered outside Rimbey to participate in a “Washoo” tournament, silent auction, lunch, and activities for kids, all while helping central Alberta residents battling cancer.
This year the event raised $10,013.00 that was gifted to the area of greatest need at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre. Over the past four years the event has raised a total of $27,622 that was donated to breast cancer research and the Central Alberta Cancer Center.
With the support of local businesses and individuals Washoo Doin’ continues to grow and raise funds and awareness for central Alberta residents battling cancer.
