It was a hit 44 years ago and by all indications, the 45th Annual Rimbey Lions Club Pancake Day promises to be yet another success story.

The regular Bentley town council meeting on February 26 was shorter than usual. The main highlight was a delegation from a developer offering information about a conceptual development plan to the north of Bentley on Gull Lake.

It’s a long way from Rimbey, Alberta to Ulan Bator, Mongolia, but that’s exactly where a local boiler installer found himself recently and he also had the opportunity to see some of the Orient’s oldest and most recognizable symbols.

A long-time area volunteer was recently presented with a very special award in recognition of her dedicated service to the Rimbey Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).
