The Beatty Heritage House Society will sponsor a classical music recital Aug. 14, presenting Rimbey musicians Sheldon Jordan on the violin, and his sister Andrea Tarves at the piano.

Sheldon began playing as a young boy with Lori Maetche of Lacombe, then studied with Louise Stuppard of Red Deer, and more recently with Naomi Delafield of Lacombe.

Andrea has taken her musical training with local piano teacher, Joan Stutheit. Both musicians are working at the Royal Conservatory Grade 10 level in their instruments.

Sheldon and Andrea are looking forward to performing in their home community and they are generously donating the evening's proceeds to the Beatty House.

We hope that many will take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear classical music in Rimbey played by our own talented musicians.

The recital will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene, well known as an excellent venue for musical performances because of its grand piano, fine acoustics and tiered seating.
