The Bionic Golf Tournament is taking place for its 14th year at Gull Lake Golf Course on Sept. 6.
Registration for the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
Raylene Czuy, who co-chairs the planning committee with her son Tyson, said they still have space for a few golfers. There are 72 spots again available this year.
This year, Doctor Jodi Abbott from the University Hospital Foundation will kick off the event, addressing the golfers and thanking all of the sponsors and people involved with the event.
"It's a nice touch coming from the hospital foundation. That's where we donate the money to," said Raylene.
Last year's tournament brought in over $41,000, which went to the support of organ and tissue donation through the work of the Human Organ Procurement and Exchange (Hope), at the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation.
Another component they added this year is the chance to just purchase a dinner ticket for if someone wants to attend the silent and live auction.
"They can buy a dinner-only ticket for $50. I have friends who said, 'I don't golf, but can we just come out there?' Before, we were pretty crowded in there, but this year, we're putting out a tent to put the silent auction stuff in so we're not all crowded in the same small space, so we have a little bit more room for some extra dinner guests."
Raylene said they are also accepting more donations, with options of $20, $50 or larger sponsorships.
"There's lots of options and lots of ways people can still get involved."
The cost to participate in the tournament is $125, which also gets golfers a smoky for lunch and a steak dinner.
The awards dinner will take place at 4:00 p.m. followed by the live auction at 5:30 p.m., which Raylene says is at close to 100 silent auction items like last year.
