Brittany Neudorf has taken on a new role at the Rimbey Ag Society as General Manager.
Neudorf started off as the Events Manager back in September of last year and was then offered her newest position at the end of January.
"I had already been taking on a little bit more responsibility and doing some more jobs within the building. They just saw the potential and being capable of doing both, and so they asked if I would consider coming on as the general manager of the building," she said.
Neudorf will be busy doing the two roles, managing events and the office side of things. Some of those tasks include admin work, finding events to bring into Rimbey, managing social media, managing the committees, sponsorship, organizing memberships, etc. She added that she also has help with her arena manager for the day-to-day tasks in the building, like ground maintenance and keeping the building clean.
In the past, Neudorf was an agricultural parts technician, attending school for that, along with criminal sociology and psychology.
"I rodeoed and have been in every discipline that you can think of since I was a kid, and I was the Rimbey Rodeo Princess in 2013, so that's a roundabout way I came back to where I originally started my rodeo career in queening.
"I love organization. I love planning events. I'm super passionate about rodeo and anything within the equine industry and ag industry. I've always been a big advocate for it."
Neudorf was also a 4H kid, growing up on a dairy farm for the first 16 years of her life before retiring into a feedlot base operation.
"I kind of come from all wakes of Ag life, and that helps out a lot in this position," she said.
She added that her time in 4H also helped her out in her role as she loved public speaking as a kid.
"I definitely owe a lot to 4H."
Neudorf currently resides in Millet, commuting to Rimbey every day.
