The CARA Finals Rodeo, held at the Rimbey Co-operators Agrim Centre Sept. 7 and 8, went very well with a good turnout.

"There were lots of spectators as well as competitors," said Events Manager Brittany Neudorf.

She added that the banquet also went well, with over 200 people in attendance.

Also as part of the weekend's events, there was a trade show, food trucks and vendors, providing lots of options for people stopping by for the rodeo.

"It went really well, and the coordinators had amazing things to say about Rimbey. We're just glad that they chose to have us this year, and they're coming back next year for the finals as well," said Neudorf.

Saddle presentations and high point and average leaders were presented in the centre of the arena, along with a big group photo, which Neudorf said was definitely one of the highlights.

"I really enjoy those types of photos, it shows that community, end of the year and big finale kind of thing. You have different ages. You have the youth all the way up to adults who have been competing for years, and everybody's so supportive."

Editor's Note: We apologize for the error in last week's paper stating that the rodeo was in Bentley when it, in fact, was in Rimbey.
